On Lotus Pond Part 16: Kiss Me Quietly

Because this is my first attempt in writing the Carlos D/ Daniel Kessler Slash Fan fic, this story is prone to grammatical errors and plot holes.

Disclaimer: The following literary attempt is purely fictional. The names of the main characters happen to have real life counterparts in the form of very very gorgeous people. Any incident, character or anything that happened in the real life are purely coincidental. While I am somewhat obliged to say that I don’t own these real people, I am just informing anyone not to copy this story and make a buck out of it. Just read and try to enjoy if you please.
Carlos gazed into the placid beautiful sight before him while he sits on a boat floating idly on the pond near his estate.
It was a lazy Sunday morning with the sunlight shining brightly, birds chirping a cheerful melody, the rustling of the tree leaves and the occasional plopping sound of the water whenever a frog would jump into the pond.
He leaned his head back and closed his eyes as a cool, sweet-smelling breeze brushed into his cheeks and hair.
He slowly opened his eyes when he felt some stirring and stared down at Daniel, sleeping against his torso.
Daniel’s exposed neck and cheeks looked perfect and smooth to the touch and his cherry red lips slightly parted.
Carlos’ thoughts came to what happened a few months ago. It seemed like yesterday when he picked Daniel from the streets, wounded and half-dead, and brought him home and sent him to the Juilliard. And nights ago, that stormy night, when they first shared a kiss. It almost seemed like a dream.
They both agreed to keep the affair secret even to Mama, according to Carlos’ wishes. He still finds it hard to admit to her that he has learned to love Daniel. And also to keep the gossip mongers at bay.
Although Daniel still sleeps in the spare room, there would be nights where Carlos would surreptitiously slip into Daniel’s bed and occasionally, he would let Daniel sleep in his but the morning will always find them in their respective rooms so as not to raise suspicions from Nerissa and the occasional hired cleaners.
Carlos smiled as he bent over and kissed Daniel’s warm, soft lips.
Daniel’s eyelids stirred and slightly opened.
“Hello, sleeping beauty,” Carlos whispered.
Daniel let out a silent yawn and stared at Carlos through sleepy eyes.
“Carlos? I hope I’m not being a burden on you.”
“No you’re not, my baby,” Carlos smiled as he kissed Daniel once more.
Daniel smiled as he snuggled closer to Carlos.
“Carlos?”
“Hmmm?” Carlos replied as he brushed Daniel’s cheek with the tip of his nose while sliding his hand under Daniel’s shirt.
“D’you suppose they’ll come looking for us?…” Daniel gasped as he felt the warmth of Carlos’ fingers roaming on his bare chest.
“Shhh…”
Carlos covered Daniel’s mouth with his before he could have any chance to speak.
Far along the bank, hidden amongst the bushes, a camera shutter clicked.
